A Child Stood

The God that had created men,
Now called them all together,
And the Universe grew so silent
Than you could have heard a feather.

Mighty men of valor,
Both presidents and kings,
Together stood in silence,
As there maker asked this thing:

"Who is there among you?
That now would even dare,
Come and sit beside me?"
Then God pointed to the chair.

In fact it was a royal throne,
It sat at his right hand.
But no one came to claim it.
Not the most important man.

Soon everyone was mortified.
They'd have done it if they could.
When from the very back row,
Alone, A child stood.

He made his way past emperors,
And all the world's best.
But standing in God's presence,
Just the Little Child was blessed.

He walked up to his Fether,
And was seated on the throne.
For when it came to Holiness,
The Little Child was grown.

In theie own environment,
I'm sure they all looked good.
But taninf in God's presence,
Alone, A child stood.
