Why Will the Real ID Act Affect the Youth of America?
"I am only 16. Why should I care about the Real ID Act?"
Dad: “Sally, we have to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) on Wednesday to get our new ID card.”
Sally: “Why, I just got my driver’s license two months ago?”
Dad: “Because, I got a letter the other day stating that we had until the end of the month to turn in our old license and get this new card I’ve been hearing about for three years.”
Sally: “I’ll just use the one I’ve got?”
Dad: “It says here that it’s not an option.”
Sally: “What are they going to do, keep me from driving?”
Dad: “Well, according to this letter, they can do a whole lot more than that. It says here that if you don’t take this new card, you won’t be able to drive, open a bank account, enter a federal building, board a plane or subway, hold a job or collect Social Security.”
Sally: “That’s crazy, how are you going to be able to survive without it?”
Dad: “You won’t!”
Sally: “You know, Dad, my Sunday school teacher was telling a story the other day of some place in the Bible that sounded a whole lot like this scenario.”
Dad: “Is that right?”
Sally: “Yeah, she said that in the last days that the anti-christ would cause everyone to take a number and without it you would not be able to buy or sell anything. This sounds awful close doesn’t it? She called it the Mark of the Beast.”
Dad: “I think we have a little time yet before that stuff starts to happen. Besides, they aren’t going to tattoo a number on your hand or forehead so I’m not worried about that.”
Sally: “Let me see that letter. It says right here that Homeland Security has put “biometric identifiers” in the cards which will consist of a fingerprint and a retinal scan, that is real close to the hand and forehead , don’t you think? It also says that I will be required to give my Social Security Number to get my card and I don’t like giving that out.”
Dad: “Hold on a minute, when they started giving out Social Security numbers in the 30’s, they said it was never supposed to be used as an identification number. Why should my sixteen year old, who has never paid into social security, have to give her number to get this card? It seems like everyone asks for your SSN now to identify you. I had to give my SSN to get a fishing license the other day. Let me make a few calls, because if this is the Mark of the Beast, I don’t want any part of it.”
The Real Id Act was signed into law by President George Bush on May 11, 2005. It is supposed to be totally operational by May 11, 2008. This means that you will have to go to your local Department of Motor Vehicles and trade in your existing license for a new National ID card. Due to the fact that you will not be able to open a bank account, drive, hold a job, fly, enter any federal building or collect Social Security benefits without this new card, it will be nearly impossible to survive.
The Real ID Act will affect every
Revelation 13:16-18 says, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” So, let me ask all you young people out there – do you think you will be affected by the Real ID Act? If you will not be able to hold a job or even drive your car, how will you be able to buy or sell? The Mark of the Beast is closer than you think and you will be expected by the anti-christ to take part. The Bible says in Revelation 13:8 that, “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
